Garden Party

Details: Join us for our monthly support group meeting as we discuss the challenges that many residents and family members face with Alzheimer’s and dementia related illnesses. Special guest speakers will be Dr. Joseph Flummerfelt, a Director of the Spoleto USA Festival, and Ellen D. Moryl, Director of Cultural Affairs for the City of Charleston. They will share some of the highlights of the festival and will also be available to answer audience questions. A reception will be held immediately after. Thursday, May 29 - Audra Claire McCall, a 17 year old violinist who has been a soloist with the Charleston and Hilton Head Symphonies. She is also the concertmaster of the Charleston Youth Orchestra and has spent nine summers in Aspen, Colorado.
Saturday, May 31 - Evelyn Swensson, Soprano and the Conductor for OperaDelaware. She will present “Martha Washington”, a costumed recital of Period Music, with pianist Linda O’Connor.
Tuesday, June 3 - Charles Fugo, pianist of the faculty of the University of South Carolina.
Thursday, June 5 - John Bauer, violinist accompanied by Elisa Moskovitch.
